Fairy tale: The Wild Swans

This year’s fairy tale (2020) is about the beautiful Princess Elisa and her struggle against the wicked queen. The king is blinded by his new queen’s beauty and therefore fails to see the malice behind her actions. The queen banishes Elisa and, using her powerful magic, transforms Elisa’s eleven brothers into wild swans. To reverse her brothers’ cruel fate, Elisa must endure a series of the queen’s agonising trials. Fortunately, the fairy tale has a happy ending, and thanks to Elisa’s profound goodness, she manages to break the queen’s curse on her brothers and is reunited with them.
